CoLeanIT was founded by Dr. Wassim Al Balkhy, a civil engineer and PhD from Centrale Lille Institut, with 15+ years of experience spanning EU-funded R&I programmes, industrial Lean transformation, and academic training. His work bridges Lean philosophy and Industry 4.0 technologies — making continuous improvement tangible and measurable.

Beyond consulting, Wassim is a registered External Expert Evaluator for Horizon Europe and EIT Urban Mobility, a board member of the French Lean Construction Institute (IFCL), and the author of 35+ peer-reviewed publications.
